The Dimplex electric fireplace, model DFB6016, uses a total of six bulbs.Four lower bulbs illuminate \"fire\" while two higher bulbs provide light to the interior of the fireplace.After removing the service panel, you can replace the upper or lower bulb.
The replacement procedure for both is the same.The lower bulb is the standard bulb;The bulb above is a \"Chandelier\" style bulb that is available in any home improvement shop.Power off and unplug the power cord.Let the system cool for 10 to 15 minutes.Loosen two decorative fasteners with a flat head screwdriver.
Slide the trim forward and remove it from the fireplace.This provides you with access to the glass.Fix the glass with your hand.Remove the clip from the top of the glass and unlock the glass.
Put down the glass carefully.
Grab the log unit and lift the front of the log unit.Pull the Wood towards you and untie it from the dim fireplace.Put it aside.Grab the bulb socket with your hands.With your other hand, gently turn the bulb counter-clockwise and unscrew it.
Insert a new bulb.
Turn clockwise.
Repeat if necessary.
There are four bulbs below.
Check the bulb above to determine if a replacement is required.Fix the socket on the bulb above.Turn the bulb counter-clockwise and screw it down.Insert the new bulb, turn clockwise and tighten.
There are two bulbs on it.
